Annual
Professional Development Conference
The highlight of the AEMP’s quality, on-going staff development
opportunities for educators, the weekend conference takes place annually
during the spring and hosts over 1500 teachers, paraeducators and parents.
Each year attendees are provided overnight accommodations and treated
to over fifty idea-filled workshops and nationally recognized keynote
speakers. A vendors’ exhibit offers a place where educators can
shop for the latest in award winning culturally relevant and responsive
literature for children, educational software, instructional videos,
art and artifacts, posters, games, and more. Attendees at the conference
can earn salary point and passport credit, as well as credit towards
satisfying the professional development requirements for renewing their
teaching credential.
